\tTo set up Thunderbird for IMAP, perform the following steps:<\/h2>\n

  1. \t\tIn Thunderbird, select File<\/b> \/ New<\/b> \/ Mail Account<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  2. \t\tIn the Your name<\/b> box, enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From<\/b> field of messages you send.<\/li>\n
  3. \t\tIn the Email address<\/b> box, enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com).<\/li>\n
  4. \t\tIn the Password<\/strong> box, enter the password for your email account.<\/li>\n
  5. \t\tClick the Continue<\/b> button.<\/li>\n
  6. \t\tThunderbird will attempt to automatically detect account settings, click the Stop<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  7. \t\tUnder Editing Config<\/strong>, enter the following information:

    \t\t\tUsername\u2014Enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com).
    \t\t\tIncoming\u2014Enter the secure server name: secure.emailsrvr.com<\/strong>
    \t\t\tOutgoing\u2014Enter the secure server name:  secure.emailsrvr.com
    \t\t\t<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \t\t\tNote: If you have already configured an outgoing server for another account, the previously established Outgoing<\/b> will be displayed.
    \t\t\tThis can be changed after setup by going to Tools<\/b> \/ Account Settings<\/b> \/ Outgoing Server (SMTP)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  8. \t\tClick the POP <\/b>\/ IMAP <\/strong>drop-down menu and select IMAP<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  9. \t\tEnter the incoming port number 993<\/strong>, and select SSL\/TLS<\/strong> in the security drop-down menu.<\/li>\n
  10. \t\tEnter the outgoing \/ SMTP port number 465<\/strong>, and select SSL\/TLS<\/strong> in the security drop-down menu.
